Requisite for Industrial Training for Food Tech Graduate | Inplant Training

Inplant Training or Industrial Training:

The Key Attributes Before Actually Going To Inplant Training

In-plant Training or Industrial Training is a prerequisite program designed for final year students to acquaint with the industrial career, work culture and cope with the need assessment accordingly.

The main objective of the program is to upgrade the skills and empower an individual to handle the needed activities in the industry. It indeed acts as the main domain sector for many professional courses like Food Industry as an inseparable necessity for the Food Aspirants.

For better understanding we are dividing the whole part of Inplant Training into Three Different Sectors.

1. Requisite Before Actual Inplant Training: As like no one could judge the book by its cover as like the same we could not judge the company culture by their names. Hence, it is required to adjust to the conditions and then do the requisite accordingly. It also encompasses the choice of the companies, preferences and most essential is the previous batch experience and chances of absorption in that organization in the coming future. The path could not be developed unless you are serious enough for Training.

2. Requisite at The time of Inplant Training: It covers the combination of efforts and your productive approach during the time of training. Main focus is on the career upliftment and acquaint with the needed skills for the company.

3. Requisite After the Inplant Training: Here, the new way comes in life by which we can cope with the new intact skills generated during training. The skills covers leadership, communication, sincerity and punctualness.

We are moving ahead with concern to the following main heads.

1.    Thumb Rules

2.    Approach Before Inplant Training

3.    Psychology Before Training

4.    Major Influencing Factors

5.    Limitations for Inplant Training

THUMB RULE: Generally for easy understanding point of view there are Four (04) Key Thumb Rules one has to take care.

1)   Inplant Training or Industrial Training Aim: To provide the practical orientation for Final Year students of Food, Agro and Many Graduates this paves a way for their career building.

2)   Requisite of Training: As Final Year Training is essential part of the Academic curriculum. For example, a student from Food Tech background has to complete 14 weeks training from Food Industry.

3)   Training = Opportunity: Here, the important thing to note that rather than formality you must ensure to use the training as an opportunity to connect with the industry and empower yourself. The way opportunity came via training is the new venture advancement after graduation.,

4)   Classification of Requirement: It mainly focus on before moving ahead for Industrial training requirement for future must be specified one. Like what you wish to do after Degree i.e. Direct Job opportunity, prepare for competitive exams, Higher studies. The ultimate goal must be in mind and choose the industry accordingly. You must be SMART enough to avail your strength in required area. The details are given in the below link.

Approach Before Inplant Training:

An individual or group of student could approach for Industry to purse final year training via three various ways.

1)   College Assistance or TPO (Training and Placement Officer):

Some of the important things students could do are:

·         Take Review of Previous Batches from College

·         List of Prospective companies to apply.

·         Give 3-4 preferences, as All candidate could not go into single industry.

·         Taking into consider the credibility of TPO, his experience, previous records etc.

·         Observe and analyze the experience of students.

2)   References:

You could definitely use the references if you have. You can take references of

·         Seniors

·         Relatives

·         Field experts

·         Government officials

·         Political (Only applicable for very rare and suitable cases).

Here keep in mind one thing very clearly don’t be over confident about your confirmation and keep constant updates for the same.

3)   Self Approach:

As it is very hard to move ahead with self approach but you have to initiate the process very earlier probably at least 02 months before actual training. Here you have to list out the companies of your interest arena. Then make a request to college representative for Permission letter and then apply accordingly. Here one thing must remember to apply the deadline for each company.

Psychology Before Actual Training:

Generally, students looking for Four Parameters as psychology point of view.

1)    First one is 55% weightage to comparison among them. Here, final year students move ahead and compare among the group members or with the others. During that, they presume certain assumptions and apply for stated or modified options for the organizations.

2)    Second is the JOB opportunity; nearly 60% of students interested for it and it sounds better. Be clear about your ambition to do the job with college, company and others. Here, it totally depends on you how you cope with the environment. Also, you have to do well against all odds to remain in a sustained manner then only you got the job in current competitive world.

3)    Branding: The major thing comes in the mind of students is Multi National or National or Regional or Local Industries.

4)    Comfort Zone: Still now 60% of students could not come away from their comfort zone that is shocking one. Unless you moved away from your comfort zone you could not aware of your true strength and competitive advantage.

Major Influencing Factors or Drivers:

Academic Opportunities | Platforms for B. Tech Food Students

Academic Opportunity |

Different Platform for Academics

An academic is a knowledge-oriented field which brings career main outcomes of the nation i.e. Students.

In simple the way, we can quote that,

“It is a discipline or branch of knowledge”.

The field mainly involves advising is a concerted relationship between a student and an academic advisor. The main purpose of this association is to pave a way for the student in developing a significant learning target that is reliable with personal capabilities, beliefs, and moral values.

I must say Academics is one of the top respective professions as it directly decides student's integrity with work, surrounding, and obligation to the nations. Hence, It is clearly quoted that one teacher can make or break the civilization.

With concern to the field of Academics, today we are going to take a view for the different academic opportunity for students in the current era with special reference to food Technology.

Academic Opportunities:

1.    Higher Education: After graduation, one should opt for PG (Post Graduation) as an M. Tech, M.S., M.Sc. and MBA or ABM field. You must enroll yourself after checking the eligibility criterion for a particular institute. As every year there might be new advancement in their criterion so must search for it. While taking admission, college campus and placement must be your focal point. If your interest is towards the industrial sector then think twice before moving with higher education. As mostly to enter into the industry does not require higher education.

2.    Ph.D. Scholar: Here, One can go for a Ph.D. or Integrated Ph.D. as per his or her own skills and capabilities. When you move into the field of the Ph.D. scholars know that your major domain is now Academics. As also they have a good future with respect to openings in the current scenario.

3.    Profession: The recruitment for various positions is held for university, deemed institute, or for private colleges. The positions are

·         SRA (Senior Research Assistant),

·         JRA (Junior Research Assistant),

·         Assistant Professor,

·         Associate Professor

·         HOD (Head Of Department)

·         Professor or Reader

·         Government Schemes

Also now the certain position is open for B. VOC colleges, As the number of B.Voc colleges increased throughout India. Today, nearly 150 plus colleges providing B. Vocational in different disciplines of food tech stream.

I could say nearly 36 plus colleges provide B Voc in Food and aligned discipline only in Maharashtra. So that could be a good opportunity for those who wish to bring their career in Academics. Also with concern to the 4th Dean Committee, there is a vacancy in Pilot plant In charge of any Food Tech academic institute.

4.    Expert Speaker or Guest Lecturer: During the whole journey if you try to gain the required skills then your experience could be countable for the number of students. It can be done by means of Expert Speaker. And in COVID 19 situation we have seen and listen to many expert speakers who advise you. The speakers from different domains like from industry, academics, entrepreneur, auditor, personality development, motivation, regulations, consultancy, facilitator, etc.

It means this field paves a big way in the coming future with more leaps and bound. As rather than text knowledge experience talk could give you the required motivation.

5.    Author: I must say, very few persons in that domain. But you may cross the line and mark yourself as an author. As many subjects of UG course (B. Tech: Food Tech) don’t have good reference books like Micro or subjects of FBM. So those who have the knowledge and courage go into that arena. Take my example as an Assistant Professor in Food and Business Management, during the initial phase no good reference books for the department.

There is one subject for the previous syllabus Food Production Trends and Programmes. After joining academics the same subject allotted to me. I have prepared full notes for my students. Later on, I compile all the notes and publish them as a Book. The book is so much success that the percentage of passing nearly increased by 60-70%, which was previously only mere to 20%. Now, continuing with the same I have 6 books in that arena.

6.   Cluster combination with Synergy: Currently numerous citizens are looking for a synergistic effect. It means if you combine two odds fields during UG and PG then combination yields you surplus results. I suggest after B Tech if you choose Law or Journalism as per your likings and preferences. As I have seen some individuals who are in that act and doing handsomely.

7.    Freelancer: It could be the scenario of the online world. It gives you the liberty for your work-life balance. But, it depends on your brand value and contacts for such projects.

8.    Self Reliant: It clearly indicates a self line of command. As today the world is even more competitive, many platforms are generated to grab the opportunity. It does not require Higher education. It requires the only command on a specific domain. Like many banking, classes absorb a person with all-round abilities for the subjects. So if you have that skill you can go for the classes, interactive sessions, tuitions, and competitive world. As if you are from B Tech background chances of your selection is more due to more number of Food Competitive exams like FCI, FSO, Food Commissioner is now going on. Hence, it acts as a source for self-reliance.

9.   Online Pedagogue: It is one of the major online platforms which is in boom currently. It involves podium from many major online sites such as Unacademy, Vedantu, Edugraff, Toppr, Byju’s. No doubt you have to go through their selection and screening test. If you are pursuing or Ph.D. Scoular than also you opt for the option.

Summary:

1.   Currently Academics not just only a field opt it as a Profession.

2.   You must possess the required skills and domain knowledge to succeed.

3.   Once you create Own Brand value in your expertise field then Expert speaker and The guest lecture is on your way.

4.   Prefer the cluster combination as per your desires and likings only.

5.   Self reliable and online pedagogues are some of the fine options with concern the one's talent and proficiency towards the students.

6.   If you have orientation and compilation skills with the perfect blend of knowledge and experience go for Author options.

Top Colleges in Maharashtra |

B Tech Food Technology Colleges |

B.Sc. Food Science Colleges | Colleges for B. Vocational in Food

Dear All,

Graduation is the field where excellence can be upgraded, improved and utilized for the mutual benefits.

Today we will discuss the colleges for UG, PG, PhD along with the B.Sc food colleges and B. Vocational colleges in the discipline of food technology or food science. Friends it is rightly quoted that, Food technology is the evergreen field in the modern era. But here the problem lies that different people from different locality could not able to identify good colleges to study the course. Here people are just thankful for the nearby places and don’t go for other options.

Hence, I make a sincere effort to prepare the requisite list of colleges so one could able to search all food tech colleges under one roof. From this perspective, I chose the Maharashtra state for the first instance as it has higher agricultural and deemed university. For taking the same concern I am preparing the list with the inclusion of website details and other necessary information. So that rather than taking a glimpse, you can take the whole list under your palm.

Friends for easy understanding, I have categorized the food colleges under 4 distinct heads.

1. Agricultural University

2. Deemed and State University

3. B.Sc. Food and Diploma Colleges

4. B. Voc. (Food) Colleges and Certificate Courses

1. Agricultural University:

As Maharashtra has 4 number of Agriculture university, hence more number of colleges in B Tech (Food Technology).

There are two government colleges for B Tech (Food Technology) and one is situated at Parbhani under VNMKV University since 1976 and another is recently started at Yavatmal under Dr. PDKV University. From the year 2004 private colleges are admitted under the University for the Course. Now there are 25 Private colleges running successfully in the State of Maharashtra.

 4. B. Voc. (Food) Colleges and Certificate Courses

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as a part of college or university education leading to B.Voc degrees with multiple exits, such as Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and degree under the NSQF.

The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) is a competency-based framework that organizes all qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude. All other frameworks, including the NVEQF (National Vocational Educational Qualification Framework) released by the Ministry of HRD, stand superseded by the NSQF.

In that sense, the NSQF is a quality assurance framework. The NSQF is anchored at the National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) and is being implemented through the National Skills Qualifications Committee (NSQC) which comprises of all key stakeholders.

As per my observation, it is a really great opportunity to the PG holder’s in B Tech (Food Technology) to join Academics in B.Voc colleges.
